Funding Secured for – Setting the Foundations for Healthy Relationships

Exciting news! Go-Getta CIC & H.O.P.E Training & Leadership CIC is proud to have secured funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner from July 26-27 for Leicestershire to deliver – Setting the Foundations for Healthy Relationships.

This 12-month project will bring targeted healthy relationship and coercive control awareness workshops (so no just throwing it into assemblies with no trauma informed care) to young people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland — helping them:

✅ Recognise the early warning signs of controlling and abusive behaviour
✅ Understand consent, boundaries and autonomy
✅ Challenge the normalisation of harmful attitudes among peers and on social media
✅ Know how and where to access support, safely and confidently

Teenage relationship abuse can develop gradually and go unrecognised — by young people themselves, and by the adults around them.

Setting the Foundations for Healthy Relationships is about equipping the next generation with the knowledge and confidence to build relationships rooted in trust, respect and equity before harmful patterns take hold.

Huge thanks to the PCC for Leicestershire for backing this vital early intervention work, to Sav at Go-Getta CIC for her continued collaboration on the TRA programme and all the academics working hard behind the scenes supporting with data.

Delivery gets underway soon — watch this space for updates from the workshops.
