Domestic Abuse Recovery Program

In 2021 H.O.P.E. were awarded funds from Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR) Police and Crime Commissioner to deliver the Adult Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit for Women & Men from racialised communities.

This Toolkit has been devised and written by Sue Penna founder of Rockpool. This program is for anyone aged 16+ who is no longer in the  domestic abusive relationship and the participant would like to focus on their recovery journey.

Our next program for women from racialised communities starts on Monday 12th September 2022 1-2pm via Zoom.

Our next program for men from racialised communities starts on Thursday 8th September 2022 from 1-2pm via Zoom.

You will not receive the link for the sessions until you have spoken to Meena, Mita or Imran and completed a pre-assessment interview this is to ensure you are suitable for this program.

History of our programs:

Our first program in 2021 for women from racialised communities  started on 17th May 2021 (this course is now complete) this was funded by the Police Crime Commissioner for Leicester , Leicestershire & Rutland.

Our second program in 2021 for women started on Monday 13th September 2021 ( this course  is now complete) this was funded by the Police Crime Commissioner for Leicester , Leicestershire & Rutland.

Our third program for women from racialised communities started in February 2022 (this course is now complete) this was funded privately.

Our fourth program was for men from racialised communities and this started in February 2022 (this course is now complete) this was funded by the Police Crime Commissioner for Leicester , Leicestershire & Rutland.

We would like to thank all of the participants who have attended so far.

All of our programs are delivered on zoom and links are not shared until referral forms and assessments are completed for each participant.

About the Adult Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit Programme

The Adult Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit is a 12 week programme that helps participants understand the impact of having experienced domestic abuse, explaining how they were prevented from leaving an abusive relationship and the thinking patterns they developed as a method of managing the risk which can hold them back moving forward. The individual’s own strengths, resources and coping skills and resilience are reinforced contributing to their own health and wellness on a long-term basis.
