The Changing Harmful Attitudes & Behaviour (CHAB) Programme was a pilot community-based intervention running from February 2025 to March 2026 (Project officially ends in April 2026). It supported individuals from South Asian communities who wanted to change harmful behaviours towards partners, ex-partners, or family members and develop safer, healthier relationships.

The programme lasted 20 weeks and was delivered online and in person in a supportive and culturally sensitive environment. Participants worked through structured sessions that focus on understanding behaviour, recognising abusive patterns, improving communication, and developing positive parenting and relationship skills.

It also provided optional support for partners and family members through specialist By and For domestic abuse organisations (Sikh Women’s Aid & Halo, helping improve safety and wellbeing while the participant engages in the programme.

This Programme is currently being evaluated by TONIC who were commissioned to evaluated the process of developing and delivering this system once a report is compiled this will be available through the Drive project The Drive Project – The Drive Partnership
